A brief testimony to the powerfulness of the Word of God

Dear people of God, on a day like this Sunday of the Word of God, I delight in giving in your midst from my lived experience the following brief witness to the powerfulness of the Word of God.

Accounting for the effect which the conversion-working Word of God that changes the direction of the attention and concentration of our heart and mind as of our two natural spiritual eyes, from focusing on the world and worldly as transitory things to focusing on God and divine as eternal things, has so far had on me and many of my fellow Christfaithful Believers in God, I composed a few years ago the following verse of an emmanuelite hymn of three stanzas (‘Amen benedictio’):
“Nearer, nearer, Our God and Lord, we are coming to You. Stronger and stronger our faith in You, deeper and deeper our love for You,
higher and higher, joyous and joyous our hope on You, wider and wider, clearer and clearer our knowledge of You, the longer and longer we move to You who are waiting for us.”

By ‘me and many of my fellow Christfaithful Believers in God’ I mean those who believe that the Word of God concerned is that triadic Word that 1) in His pre-incarnate state, is that eternally creative Word that, inseparably united with the Wisdom of God and the image of the substance of God as with the first and the second constituents, is the third of the three constituents of the Son of God as of the second among the three persons in one God and the Word as the person through whom God has called beings into existence, 2) in His incarnate state, is that redemptive Word as the incarnate Son of the living God, Christ, through whom God has liberated humans from the evil spirits, namely from the devil and the demons, and from the various evils caused by them, namely from darkness, ignorance, imprisonment in sin, suffering, poverty, misery, sickness and death, and enlightened and healed the liberated humans and restored them to the right track or road to God from which they humans had deviated and fallen into the traps set and ditches dug for them on their original journey to the inviting God through their succumbing to the insinuation of them by the seducing Evil One to turn away from God, and 3) in His post-incarnate state, is that salvific Word as thing through which, on the one hand, from up there in heaven, the ascended Christ, Son of the living God, as Godman, continuously calls the redeemed humans up to ascend ever higher (“Amice ascende altius”), thereby pulling us as it were, drawing us heavenwards, to Himself as He promised before His Ascension into heaven that He would do when He is lifted up, and on the other hand, from down here on earth, the descended Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, continuously spurs us on to move to ever higher heights, thereby pushing us as it were, driving us , heavenwards, to go on and meet and unite with Christ the Truth as the only Way to follow to reach God the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ as also our Father (Pater) who is in heaven, and to enter heaven, our spiritual Fatherland (Patria), where the Holy Mary, the Mother of Christ as also our Mother, and the Saints, the friends of Christ as our brothers and sisters in Him that have entered there before us, and the Angels, the ministers, authoritative and exemplary servants, of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, are living and praying and working for our own arrival while Christ is preparing there for us places in the Father’s house in which there are many mansions and into which He will take us when at the end of times He comes to judge the living and the dead and to collect with Him the Just as the abundant and lasting fruits of His and the Holy Spirit’s missionary work on earth.
